-Math: 2D Shapes: We Do not call the corners, corners we call them Vertices in 1st grade (we are working on our academic language) Really practice recognizing: trapezoids, Pentagons, Hexagons, octagons

Helpful hints on shapes:
Trapezoids: look like a mouse trap (well kind of )
Pentagon: We hold a pen using our 5 fingers so it has 5 sides
Hexagon: Has a x in it and so does the word six, so it has 6 sides
Octagon: An octopus has 8 arms and an octagon has 8 sides
