WOW! This is going to be a busy/fun/crazy week!!!
It is red ribbon week!
- Monday: Wear red
- Tuesday: Team shirt/jersey
- Wednesday: Pjs
- Thursday: Book Character dress up day (if you need help with ideas to help your kiddo be exactly what they want to be let me know! I usually can find a book on anything!)
- Friday: Roughneck Spirit
++ On Tuesday, I will have a sub in my room so that I can meet with all of you for student led conferences!++
++Wednesday is a half day, please let me know how your kiddo will be going home if they are in Boys and Girls Club! ++
- If you have not signed up for conferences PLEASE contact me over remind and I will get you set up! MY goal is to have a conference with each parent/student… The kids are so excited for this! The conferences are on a tight schedule so please try to be a little early so we can start ON TIME. Each conference is only 15 minutes with a 5 minute grace period in-between. Your kiddo will get to talk to you and show you their work for about 10 minutes and the last 5 minutes me and you will get to talk.. this is a short conference I know… if you need a longer conference to discuss something more in depth please let me know and we can schedule a true parent teacher conference at a later date.
This Week:
- Math: Place Value
- Spelling: NO SPELLING WORKS THIS WEEK!
- Phonics/word study: sk and sm blends
- Writing: Adjectives
- Science/Social Studies: Pumpkins/ Life Cycle of a Pumpkin
+++Nightly Reading: this week will be a little off schedule so your kiddo might not get a new book each day… My goal is a new book on Monday and Wednesday for sure. Tuesday your child will not bring a book home because I will have a sub that day. Thursday I am not going to send reading bags home so the kiddos can enjoy Halloween!++++
+Homework and Graded papers will still come home on Wednesday this week.
+Report cards went home last week, please sign and return. Once I see that you have signed it I will send them back home for you to keep!
